Microbes were the first forms of living matter and are the smallest life forms, usually consisting of only a single cell that can only be viewed through a microscope.
Billions of years old, Microbes are to be found everywhere; they occupy the outer atmosphere and are found deep down in the rocks within the bowels of our Earth. They are in the air that we breathe, in the water that we drink and in the food that we eat. In our bodies; Microbes are responsible for breaking the food that we eat down into the proteins, vitamins, enzymes etc. that our bodies use for energy and growth. EMgro SAEM5™ (Dilution Guide)
Unless being applied to larger waters i.e. ponds, dams etc. EMgro SAEM5™ is usually diluted with de-chlorinated water before use.
As a rule of thumb we recommend the following dilution rates:
· For human and animal digestion – 1:500 (this may be diluted further by adding a few tablespoonfuls to your preferred drink or in the animals drinking water)
· For general purpose cleaning, as a deodoriser and hygiene around the house, garage, office, workspace etc. – 1:1 000
· Outside and in the garden – 1:2,000
As an initial inoculation in fish tanks, ponds, dams etc. – 1:2,000 to 1:5,000 added directly to the water
For the ease of use, in our home we use a 25 litre water container fitted with a tap (available from most Makro’s, Builders Hardware’s, Outdoor stores) to dilute our SAEM5™.
We use the spray bottles (in the foreground) in and around the house for cleaning, deodorising etc.
A cup or jug is used to apply the SAEM5™ to washing water, washing machines, baths etc.

If using Municipal water without passing it through a de-chlorination filter, it is preferable to allow the water to stand in an open bucket in the sun for 3 – 4 hours.
Storage and Handling
Store EMgro SAEM5 out of direct sunlight at room temperature
Do not refrigerate.
Use by the recommended expiration date.
If in doubt, check the smell and pH. Good quality EM will have a sweet-and-sour smell and a pH of below 3.7. If the pH rises to 3.8, use the remaining EM as soon as possible or within 30 days. Do not use SAEM5 if a foul or rotten odour is present or the ph rises above 4.0.

The uses of EMgro SAEM5™ in the Home
EMgro SAEM™ is an antioxidant, acidic solution that re-populates treated surfaces with beneficial microbes. The presence of these microbes discourages mould, fungi and harmful bacteria from taking root.
Cleaning with EM
· Add ± a cupful of SAEM5™ (diluted at 1:500) or a tablespoon of straight SAEM5™ to a bucket of washing water for floors, tiles, walls, countertops, white goods and inside kitchen cabinets etc. It is not necessary to use any other soaps or detergents.
· Apply, using a spray bottle, to clean stoves, ovens, sinks, wall tiles etc. It is not necessary to use other soaps or detergents.
· Lightly spray onto carpets, mats and upholstery to keep them fresh. Will rid them of all animal odours including cat wee!
· SAEM5™ helps to eliminate odours from pets, cigarette smoke, and odour-causing bacteria.
· Keep a spray bottle filled with straight SAEM5™ at the kitchen sink. Add a cupful of SAEM5™ (diluted at 1:500) or a tablespoon of straight SAEM5™ into your dish washing water. If required use only ¼ of the usual amount of dish washing liquid. For your and your family’s health try to avoid the use of all disinfectant and detergent soaps.
· Add to the water used for rinsing vegetables and salads. Lightly spray salads, vegetables and fruit to be stored in the fridge. They will last for far longer.
· Spray into your garbage bin to reduce odours.
· Spray onto sponges and cloths used for cleaning to keep them fresh and free from harmful bacteria.
· Add ± a cupful of SAEM5™ (diluted at 1:500) or a tablespoon of straight SAEM5™ per load into your washing machine when the water is loaded. This is recommended for whites and lightly coloured laundry. The microbes love fabric dyes and could cause dark colours to fade. Halve the amount for dark coloured fabrics. Reduce the amount of detergent to ⅓ of the usual amount used. If possible let the clothes pre-soak in the SAEM5™ water for 10 – 15 minutes before running the cycle.
Your washing will come out much softer so there is no need to use fabric softeners.
· Spray SAEM5™ (diluted at 1:500) onto plastic and wooden cutting boards to discourage salmonella and other harmful bacteria.
· An occasional light spray (normally after cleaning) to the inside of the fridge will prevent bad odours and enhance the longevity of produce kept in the fridge.
· Diluted SAEM5™ can be sprayed lightly into shoes to keep them smelling fresh. We use misting sprays for this purpose.
· Spray into drawers and cupboards to prevent mould and mildew.
· Spray onto shower curtains and tiles to prevent mould.
· Lightly spray into the air in all rooms and in the car as a deodoriser.
· Spray lightly into the air (we use a misting / atomizer spray bottle) above a stripped bed to keep it fresh, healthy and free of germs and bed mites.

The uses of EMgro SAEM5™ in the Garage & Driveway
· Use as a degreaser, even use to clean your motor car / motor cycle engine. Spay liberally on the affected area and leave to stand for about 20 – 30 minutes and rinse. If immediately dried with a soft cloth the area will soon regain its shine.
· Oil spills and drips on concrete, ceramic tiles and brick work on drive ways should be sprayed lightly daily until the microbes have consumed all of the oil stain.
· SAEM5™ is a very potent anti-oxidant that protects tools, machinery etc. from rust.
The use of EMgro SAEM5™ in Septic Tanks
Septic Tanks & Long Drops
· Use to keep your septic tank / long drop functioning correctly;
Initially pour 1 litre / 1 cubic meter (estimated tank capacity) of undiluted EMgro SAEM5™ to the tank / pit and thereafter ± 30ml EMgro SAEM5™ per regular user per week. A little more will not do any harm.

(Japanese for "fermented organic matter") is a method of intensive composting. It can use an aerobic or anaerobic inoculation to produce the compost.
EMgro Natrology SAEM5™ and SAEM5™ Solutions can be used for sowing and growing trees, plants, flowers, vegetables and herbs, pot plants (indoor and outdoor) and lawns without the use of expensive and toxic fertilisers and insecticides. The SAEM5™ and SAEM5™ Solutions can either be used, separately or together, to produce healthy trees, plants, vegetables and lawns.
General Feeding
Water beds and spray plants with EMgro Natrology SAEM5™ and SAEM5™ Solutions diluted at a ratio of 1:100 to 1:500 at least twice per growing season.
Thereafter water and spray as often as you wish but at monthly intervals with EMgro Natrology SAEM5™ and SAEM5™ Solutions diluted at a ratio of 1:1,000 to 1:2,000.
Pre-Planting
Two to three weeks before planting is due to commence inoculate by liberally spraying the area prepared (see the section on perfect bed preparation) for planting with an EMgro Natrology SAEM5™ dilution of 1:100 to 1:500. Remove any weeds that may appear after 10 – 14 days (these can be recycled in your fermented plant extract).
Seed Treatment
Soaking your seeds in a SAEM5™ dilution of 1:1,000 for about 10 minutes and then air dry before planting as usual will ensure greater germination and much stronger seedlings.
Planting / Splitting & Transplanting
Assuming that the bed has previously been inoculated with EMgro Natrology SAEM5™ as directed, immediately after planting, spray at a dilution rate of 1:1,000 – 1:2,000.

Control of Fungal Diseases
Most Fungal Diseases can be eliminated and brought under control by initially spraying the affected plants (it is advisable to also spray all plants in close proximity) with SAEM5™ dilution of 1:100 - 1:500 followed up by regular sprayings of SAEM5™ dilution of 1:1,000 until there are no signs of the infection.
Lawns
Spraying your lawn with EMgro Natrology SAEM5™ and SAEM5 Solutions™ initially diluted at a ratio of 1:100 to 1:500 and thereafter will not only keep them healthy and green (for your children and grandchildren to play on), but also negate the need for scarifying.
The possibility of “Black Layer” on Golf Greens is entirely negated by the use of EMgro Natrology SAEM5™.

· Lightly spray onto the coats of dogs and cats to prevent odours, ticks, fleas and mites etc.
· Add a light spray of SAEM5™ (diluted at 1:500) to pet’s drinking water and food to help maintain good digestive health and the benefits that have been set out in the Personal Health Care & Hygiene of this guide. No more fowl smell from winds!
Aquarium Fish:
· To reduce ammonia in fish tanks, and to promote beneficial bacteria in the water, initially add SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:1,000 to inoculate the water and thereafter at a dilution rate of 1:2,000 with each water change.

To maintain a healthy environment in which your fish will thrive;

· A recipe, that further enhances the quality of the water and the health and elimination of bad smells, putrification and pollutants, and ingredients are available on request by participating brewers.
Rabbit, Guinea Pig & Mice Cages and Hutches
To maintain a healthy and odour free environment in which your pets will thrive;
· To reduce ammonia and to promote beneficial bacteria into the living area, initially spray the entire area with SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:500 to inoculate the area and thereafter at a dilution rate of 1:2,000 – 1:5,000 weekly.
· Lightly spray onto feed and into drinking water.
· Lightly spray on the animal’s coats as often as you wish but at least weekly.
Bird Cages and Aviaries
· Spray the entire bird cage or aviary with SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:500 as often as you wish but at least weekly
· Lightly spray onto the birds
· Add a little SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:500 to the birds drinking water
· A very light spray onto the birds feed.

· Lightly spray onto the coats of dogs and cats to prevent odours, ticks, fleas and mites etc.
· Add a light spray of SAEM5™ (diluted at 1:500) to pet’s drinking water and food to help maintain good digestive health and the benefits that have been set out in the Personal Health Care & Hygiene of this guide. No more fowl smell from winds!
Aquarium Fish:
· To reduce ammonia in fish tanks, and to promote beneficial bacteria in the water, initially add SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:1,000 to inoculate the water and thereafter at a dilution rate of 1:2,000 with each water change.

To maintain a healthy and odour free environment in which your pets will thrive;
· To reduce ammonia and to promote beneficial bacteria into the living area, initially spray the entire area with SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:500 to inoculate the area and thereafter at a dilution rate of 1:2,000 – 1:5,000 weekly.
· Lightly spray onto feed and into drinking water.
· Lightly spray on the animal’s coats as often as you wish but at least weekly.
Bird Cages and Aviaries
· Spray the entire bird cage or aviary with SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:500 as often as you wish but at least weekly
· Lightly spray onto the birds
· Add a little SAEM5™ at a dilution rate of 1:500 to the birds drinking water
· A very light spray onto the birds feed.
